Neuromodulation devices are a modern, non-invasive, medication-free treatment option for migraine management. These FDA-cleared devices deliver targeted electrical stimulation to specific nerves involved in migraine pathways, helping to calm abnormal nerve activity and reduce migraine pain.
Neuromodulation can help decrease the frequency, severity, and duration of migraine attacks and may be used for both acute relief and preventive treatment. It is especially beneficial for patients who cannot tolerate migraine medications, experience frequent migraines, or need additional control beyond traditional therapies.
At Headache Doctor of Ohio, Dr. Aamir Hussain evaluates each patient’s migraine history and symptoms to determine whether neuromodulation is an appropriate option. When suitable, it is incorporated into a personalized treatment plan tailored to each patient’s needs and lifestyle.
